Far Beyond Metal is a metal interview show that sets out to defy what it means to be metal by exploring the minds of the musicians, writers, and metal media staples behind the genre that is largely made up adults growling like monsters. Guests discuss their earliest musical origins, their careers, current projects, and more. The “more” frequently includes cats and Prince for some reason.
The show has included interviews with Geezer Butler, Devin Townsend, Nili Brosh, members of Motörhead, Clutch, Baroness, Between the Buried and Me, Faith No More, Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage, Body Count, Anthrax, and many more.
Most episodes conclude with a recommendation of a younger band as a way to present listeners with something new to enjoy.
